I’m a total shopping addict, always following my shopping motto (lifted from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, snaps to Mad-Eye Moody) - Constant Vigilance. Like all sports, shopping requires hard work and dedication - plus a few tips here and there!
This site is all about shopping. Yes it’s shallow and materialistic….but it’s just so much fun. I’ll never forget my first Tiffany & Co experience - the flutter in my belly as I spotted that beautiful blue box, the reverence with which I undid the gorgeous white ribbon - it was a special moment in life and hopefully it (and the gift giver!) will stay with me for a long time. More transient, but still important are those heart stopping bargains - my Emily the Strange watch, tagged $49.95, scanned at $3, those fabulous Marc Jacobs silver nappa flats from Bergdorfgoodman.com, the BNWT $220 Sewn dress from ebay for $24.95….each one brought me joy - and I truely believe we should take pleasure in the small things.
So why make up a whole site? Why the hell not? Its a good way to organise all my links and if it helps a fellow shopaholic, well I’m happy to share. I originally started this site in December 2006, during a boring period at work - I found a cute template and decided to make the site I’d always been searching for - a one stop shop for shopping and all shopping related things.
Since I’m an aussie, my shopping outlook is pretty much coloured by the ease and cost of getting something online out to Australia. So fellow aussie shopaholics will probably get the most value out of this, and Melbourne girls especially since the majority of my shopping forays are out and about it Melbourne. Thats not to say other people might not find it interesting!

TheNever Shopped Out Beauty Bar is written by our very own self confessed Beauty Addict (known as the Beauty Bartender), who confesses to starting the skincare-toner-moisturiser routine at the tender age of twleve, and has been confirmed addict ever since.
The Never Shopped Out Kids Corner is written by our very own industry insider Kat, fashion and shopping addict, mother of a gorgeous little girl AND the proprietor of the always fabulous Frock You. When Kat’s not planning world domination with Frock You where she sees the all the latest trends in fabulous kids clothing (and some yummy items for us older fashion addicts), she’s scouring the web for the coolest, unique and bargain priced kids, babies and mum to be clothing and accessories
