Jelly Headbands

Jelly Headbands Although I regularly see headbands which I think are adorable, I tend not to wear them. Perhaps it’s because I seem to have an odd-shaped head, so some headbands stick out at the side. Mostly its that after half an our I start feeling a constant pain where the headband sits below my ears. The dull ache tends to continue before I rip the headband off in frustration and throw it in my bag. It then becomes a dresser accessory that sits on display because it looks pretty, but I never wear it due to the fact that its rare day I wake up and go ‘I feel like having a headache today’. But now I have discovered Jelly Headbands.

Jelly headbands look like hard headbands but are actually made from a soft ‘jelly’ plastic.

To keep it in place, the headband has tiny combs underneath and are fixed with elastic at the bottom.

I really can’t rave about my Jelly Headbands (yes, I bought two!) enough. They are super comfortable, stay where I want them too and look really cute.

Ready for the best bit? Price wise, they are supercheap! The ones I bought were $6.95AUD from Petra Haircare . I couldn’t find any photos of them online, but they look very similar to the Lulu Jelly Headband pictured below, except that the width is thinner (at a guess around 2.5cm wide). They come in heaps of colours, I also saw white, purple, black, pink and green. Unfortunately they are not available online, only instore. If you don’t have a Petra Haircare nearby here are some online options:

I really like the Lulu Jelly Headband from Nordstroms (above) for US$8. Sadly its sold out at the moment but keep checking back in case they get more instock.
