Protect the Price You Paid
As I mentioned last week in my Christmas Public Service Announcement, nothing bugs me more pre-Christmas than paying full price for things that then go on sale. Whilst this sometimes can’t be helped, sometimes it can with Price Protectr
A lot of online stores over ‘price protection’ which basically means they guarantee you they won’t drop the price of an item with a certain period (say 28 days) and if they do, you are entitled to be refunded back the difference. This is great, but who can be bothered haunting the websites to check if the priced as dropped? Especially when you shop as much as I suspect we all do!
Price Protectr is a website that allows you to easily track if an item you brought from their 52 partner stores (including Amazon, Old Navy, Bloomingdales and Nordstrom just to name a few) and if the product you bought goes on sale while your eligable for a refund the system automatically shoots you an email letting you know you are entitled for a refund!
It’s dead easy to use, you just copy and paste the url of the product you brought, enter your email address and sit back and wait. You might here nothing, or you might score an unexpected credit. You don’t even need to create an account, and the promise not to spam you and I can’t say I’ve noticed an increase in spam since using this service.
