Body Wash With SPF

This is one of those categories I never saw a huge point in. It felt suspiciously like the beauty industry (as much as I love it) had gone and invented a product we seriously didn’t actually need.

Then, along came the shower gel that deposits UV absorbing filters onto your skin as you wash. AKA body wash with SPF for about forty bucks.

If you think you’ve heard of this before, you’d be right. Way back in 1999 a company that now makes self tanners and body-building oils had a go at producing a product like this that was clinically tested to work, but somewhere along the line dropped off the radar.

The one I’ve linked to isn’t even available in the US yet, but I think within about a year we’re going to start seeing a lot more in this area. (Remember the avalanche that Johnson’s Holiday Skin caused?).

With more and more people realising the dangers and aging effects of the sun, products like these are going to get a lot more attention. Yes, it’s kinda pricy now, but Clarins had a gradual self tanner for years before the budget brands jumped on that bandwagon and now they’re a dime a dozen. And for very little effort, your skin will really thank you.
