Sportsgirl Online Store Coming Soon

In very exciting news this week, a little birdie told me that australian chain store Sportsgirl is to open an online store.

Whilst we weren’t able to wheedle out an ETA from our source, we do know that Sportsgirl have started work on an online store, and it will intially stock only a limited selection of items (a mix of clothing and accessories we were told), with the possibility of the full range to be considered.

Let’s just hope Sportsgirl doesn’t go down the flash-laden road they have with their current website and that unlike other australian chains they give a reasonable postage rate to encourage online purchases. I was shocked to realise the other day that Witchery charge $15 for postage as a flat rate on their website. If our smaller stores can negoiate $5 – $10 flat rates, surely the bigger chains can too. Still, I’m excited cause it will make it easier for me to check out what’s on offer.

Hopefully this will encourage some of our other chains like Cue to get their butts in gear and move into the world of online shopping too!
