T-shirt Subscription Anyone?
Came across a very interesting concept today – tshirt subscription! teesub is an new australian site that works just like a magazine subscription – every six weeks subscribers receive a tshirt in the mail.
Its an interesting concept. I’m a bit of a tshirt junkie. I have many tops suited to layering tshirts over the top, so I tend to wear them year round. So I kinda own a LOT. A friend recently asked me if I had enough tees to wear for a month straight and a very quick calculation made me realise she had a point. I am a t-shirt whore, to put it bluntly.
The tees at teesub are all printed on American Apparel tshirts which is great news, as they are excellent quality. And for $39 inclusive of postage, its a pretty great price.
But my first thought was ‘what if I don’t like the design for the month?’ – after all one persons favourite is another’s wouldn’t-be-caught-dead-in. Each subscription tee will be based on a current event, world issue or weird fact but with only one tee produced so far, I’d have to see more before committing my money. Personally, I’d love something like this with threadless – each month release 5-10 designs and my subscription entitles me to one tshirt per month.
Still, its a good idea and I’ll be watching it with interest, check it all here
